HERKIMER, N.Y. – Work has started on the structure that will soon be the new Pepsi distribution center at Schuyler Business Park in Herkimer.
The steel framework is up and the Herkimer County Industrial Development Agency says construction crews are making “great progress.”
The Pepsi facility is moving from its current location on Broad Street in Utica to what will be a 60,000 square-foot building at the business park. The new facility is expected to open in February 2022.
Fifty acres of land have also been cleared for what will be the new Fountainhead Group warehouse. The facility will be 200,000 square feet, and is expected to create several jobs.
The Herkimer County IDA announced the two new development projects in April.
