ROME, N.Y -- A public hearing is set for July 23, on the Orgill Inc. distribution center coming to Rome.
The new center would be employing 225 people in the Mohawk Valley.
Orgill is the world's largest independent hardlines distributor. The privately owned company is headquartered in Memphis, TN.
The new facility would be 780,000 square feet, with it being the company's first in New York State.
The Oneida County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) plans to have the meeting at 9 a.m. on July 23 at the agency's office on Phoenix Drive, in Rome.
At the meeting, officials plan to discuss a payment-in-lieu-of property tax agreement, among other incentives and tax reductions.
