CLAY, N.Y. – After asking for assistance from the public, New York State Police were able to return a lost engagement ring to a Central New York woman on Monday.
The woman lost her ring on Oct. 28 at the Wegman’s on Oswego Road in Clay.
When the woman called Wegman’s to ask if anyone had come across her ring, employees told her someone had reported finding a ring, but did not leave a name or contact information, so police couldn't reach them.
After state police put the word out to the public this week, the ring was turned in, and returned to its rightful owner on Nov. 23.
