UTICA, N.Y. (UPDATED) – No one was injured after a fire started on the second floor of a home on Hoffman Road in New Hartford Tuesday morning.
Fire crews were called to the scene at 9 a.m. and were able to put out the flames before they spread any further.
One woman was home at the time and was able to get out safely after hearing the smoke alarms go off.
Officials say the damage was mostly contained to the inside of the home, with some smoke damage outside the second-floor window.
Yorkville, Clayville and Willowvale fire departments also assisted at the scene.
No word yet on what caused the fire.
