UTICA, N.Y. – The Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL) has received a grant for nearly $178,000 through the CARES Act to provide relief funding during the coronavirus pandemic.
Congressman Anthony Brindisi says this Health and Human Services Grant will go toward meal delivery, care services, respite care and other support programs at RCIL.
“These are critical funds that will go to the Resource Center for Independent Living and allow them to help our most vulnerable,” Brindisi said. “COVID-19 is hurting all of our vulnerable populations and we need to get them the help they need. I am fighting in Washington to deliver crucial funds to our area. We are all fighting this together and I will never stop advocating for Upstate New York as we fight back.”
The grants were distributed through the Administration for Community Living.
