A low pressure system to our east has a stationary front
attached to it. This stationary front will bring cloud cover to the
region Friday, August 28th. This will keep our temperatures mild with
highs only in the mid 70s.
This stationary front turns into a warm front and heads northeast
towards our area. This will bring scattered showers Friday night,
becoming widespread on Sunday. Highs will be a little warmer in the
upper 70s as a southwest wind draws in warm air.
Behind this warm front, a cold front moves through the region Saturday
afternoon to evening with the chance for a few severe thunderstorms.
This cold front exits Saturday night with a few lingering showers.
With much cooler air moving in from the northwest, a few lake effect
rain showers will develop on Sunday. Highs will only reach the upper
60s.
