UTICA – It’s almost time for the little ones to lace up, don their costumes and hit the pavement for the Boolermaker kids’ run at the Utica Zoo.

The Halloween-themed fun run will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Utica Zoo, for kids ages 4-12. This marks the second year of the Boolermaker being held at the zoo, and it's part of the Boilermaker Road Race's Urban Initiative

Participation in the event is free, and registration includes admission to the Utica Zoo for one adult and one child, along with a runner gift bag. Discounted zoo tickets will also be available for additional family members to purchase during registration.

The race will be capped at 250 participants, so runners are encouraged to register as soon as possible. If you’d like to register for the Boolermaker, click here.

Check-in will be at 9 a.m. the morning of the event, and free parking is available in the Utica Zoo parking lot. Family-friendly events will be held before the different heats begin at 10 a.m.bpp;
