ILION, N.Y. – The union representative for Remington Arms in Ilion says more than 400 employees will return to work Monday after gun retailers were designated essential services by the federal government this week.
The representative says the company plans to have everyone back to work by the end of the month, regardless of state mandates.
Remington Arms announced March 20 that the facility would be closed until at least April 30. This was right after Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered all non-essential employees to stay home across the state.
