ILION, N.Y. – Employees at Remington Arms say a memo was sent Tuesday, notifying them that furloughs will begin at some work centers on Friday, July 17.
NEWSChannel 2 obtained a copy of the memo, which says “there will be limited operation running in some work centers, and you will be contacted by your supervisor if your work center will be scheduled to work.”
Some workers may be selected to stay on during the furlough. According to the memo, “there will be open jobs that have been identified if you want to work during the furlough.” These positions will be filled based on seniority and qualifications.
