Reports of severe lung disease linked to vaping continue to rise.

According to the Center for Disease Control, there are 153 possible cases reported in 16 states.

No deaths have been reported, but some patients have required ongoing mechanical breathing assistance.

The illness initially looks like a bad respiratory infection, but does not get better with the normal treatment.

No cause has been identified, but all of the patients reported using vaping products containing either nicotine or THC.

The 16 states with possible cases are: California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin.
