ROME, N.Y. – Thrifty Shopper welcomed customers to the store during its grand opening in Rome Wednesday.
The store is located in the Mohawk Acres Plaza on Black River Boulevard, next to Price Chopper.
Thrifty Shopper is operated by the Rescue Mission Alliance of Syracuse. The Mission sells donated items in the stores, and 100% of the proceeds support the organization’s locations in Syracuse, Auburn and Binghamton.
CEO Dan Sieburg says the store offers a variety of items for sale, from furniture to clothing.
Anything home goods, so you know, if you’re looking to furnish an apartment, or your home, or you need new pots and pans; also we have a lot of clothing – kids clothes…shoes, lots of sporting equipment and games,” said Sieburg.
There are 20 Thrifty Shopper stores across the region, including one in the New Hartford Shopping Center.
