UTICA- Organizers with the Johnson Park Center invited those in need to Johnson Park for a food and gift give-a-way.
They said there were more than 1,200 toys being distributed, some of them from Stuff the Bus and the others were from donations made throughout the year.
Locals took garbage bags and were directed inside a tent to pick up gifts and food. There was also pizza available for people who were hungry.
Parents and caregivers were asked to complete a form for all children under 18 who were getting gifts.
Volunteers and people receiving the donations said, they love this event. "We couldn't do it without the community," said Riva Sanizzary with the Johnson Park Center. "This is Cornhill but we embrace it so i'm very blessed," she added.
