BARNEVELD, N.Y. – The mandatory water conservation warning in the Barneveld water district has been extended after crews found more leaks in the main water line. Some of the leaks have been fixed and crews are continuing to work on repairs.
Trenton Town Supervisor Joe Smith says the conservation warning will be in effect until at least Wednesday evening.
Residents are advised not to wash laundry or cars, and limit overall use of water as much as possible. If water isn’t conserved, the town may have to shut water service off for at least 24 hours.
