RICHFIELD SPRINGS, N.Y. – A woman has been charged with felony identify theft for allegedly spending $2,300 using a stolen credit card.
New York state police say Crystal G. Ray, 38, of Richfield Springs, was arrested on Jan. 8 and is charged with first-degree identity theft and two counts of grand larceny, as well as unlawful possession of personal identification.
State police received a report of fraudulent charges made on a credit card in November 2019. Troopers investigated and determined Ray illegally took credit card information from a person she was hired to assist in their home.
Ray was arraigned in Otsego County Central Arraignment and Processing, and released on her own recognizance.
