ROME, N.Y. – The Rome Art Association has created a pop-up gallery at a space on Dominick Street, featuring 75 pieces in various mediums, from oils to water color.
The new space is located next to Copperccino’s, and anyone visiting is advised to practice social distancing and wear a mask.
Adam Prescott Chrisman, president of the Rome Art Association, says many of the pieces featured in the gallery are created by local artists who paint for fun.
“It's quality artwork from local artists. A lot of them are hobbyists, they're not doing it professionally but it goes to show that if you put your heart into something, creatively, you can really create beautiful things,” said Chrisman.
The public can view the artwork Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m., and on Sundays from 4 – 7 p.m.
