ROME, N.Y. – The Rome City School District is postponing its scheduled distribution of Chromebooks after a staff member notified the district they were in contact with a family member who is being tested for coronavirus.
The Chromebooks were supposed to be available Friday, but the district says this staff member was handling the Chromebooks preparing them for delivery. The district will wait to distribute the devices until they are notified of the test results. They say the Chromebooks will be cleaned in the interim.
The Rome City School District central offices are also closed to all staff and visitors until March 23.
