ROME, N.Y. – Rome Memorial Hospital is gradually resuming other procedures after starting elective surgeries again on May 1.
The hospital implemented several safety precautions, including screening people upon entering the hospital and designating separate patient entrances.
“Our patients can trust that we have taken extra precautions to screen patients and staff and disinfect our facilities to minimize the risks of incidental exposure,” said Vice President of Operations Ryan Thompson. “We are guided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) to ensure that we have the testing and supplies necessary to deliver care in the safest environment possible.”
The hospital is now scheduling appointments for sleep studies and pulmonary function tests at the Dorothy G. Griffin Cardiovascular Center.
The outpatient lab at Chestnut Commons is also open for lab and imaging at the following times:
- The lab is available 7 to 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.
