ROME, N.Y. – The Rome Twigs celebrated raising nearly $10,000 during its annual Tree of Lights campaign with a tree lighting on Sunday.
More than 150 people gathered at Rome Memorial Hospital on North James Street for the annual ceremony.
The Twigs are a volunteer-based, non-profit group that coordinates fundraisers for Rome Memorial Hospital.
The group runs the Tree of Lights campaign every year to raise money for new hospital equipment. This year's campaign was dedicated to AmCare Ambulance Service Inc. in recognition of the company’s service to the community and partnership with the hospital.
The evening’s events also included the unveiling of a scroll which lists each of the individual donors and honorees.
