ROME, N.Y. – A 40-year-old Rome man accused of forcibly touching a minor was arrested on Tuesday.
Adam Beyette allegedly had inappropriate contact with a 15-year-old girl on two occasions, one in August and one in October.
After an investigation by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office and Child Advocacy Center, Beyette was charged with one count of forcible touching and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, all misdemeanors.
An order of protection has been requested on behalf of the victim.
Beyette was arraigned in Rome City Court and released. He is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
The girl has been offered services through the Child Advocacy Center.
