ROME – A Rome man is facing a felony rape charge after he allegedly had sex with a child, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office’s Chief Deputy Joseph Lisi, director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
Willie Williams, 43, was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 13 and charged with felony second-degree rape. Williams allegedly had sexual intercourse with a female child less than 15 years old in the city of Rome earlier this month, according to Lisi.
Williams was being held at the Oneida County Jail pending arraignment.
An order of protection has been issued on behalf of the victim, who has also been offered services through the Child Advocacy Center.
