ROME – A Rome man is facing charges after he allegedly slapped a Denny’s waitress on her butt.
According to the Rome Police Department, 65-year-old Clarence Locke Jr. was being served by a waitress around 12:20 p.m. Monday when he slapped her butt. Police said Locke was asked to leave the Denny's diner, located at 200 S. James St., and he left without incident.
Police were contacted and reviewed surveillance footage at the diner to identify the suspect. Upon further investigation, they were able to locate and charge Locke later that day.
Locke is charged with forcible touching, a misdemeanor. He has since been released on an appearance ticket for Rome City Court.
