A Rome man is facing a felony charge after he allegedly took $17,500 for a skid-steer sale and never gave the buyer the equipment, according to New York State Police.
Cody Madonia, 25, was arrested Monday, Jan 15. and charged with felony third-degree grand larceny.
Police say the arrest followed an investigation into the eBay sale of a Bobcat skid-steer from Madonia’s business, Proforce Excavation and Equipment, located at 8490 Turin Rd., Rome. Police say Madonia allegedly failed to give the equipment to the buyer after they paid the $17,500.
Madonia was being held at the Oneida County Jail for arraignment, but he has since been released.
