ROME, N.Y. - Rome Police gave an update Monday on the accident on Black River Boulevard on Sunday involving a motorcycle and a car.
The accident happened around 1:45 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Rome police say the driver of the motorcycle suffered very serious injuries and his condition has been downgraded from serious to critical condition at a local hospital.
The driver of the motorcycle has been identified as 63-year-old George Mendoza, of Rome.
The driver of a white four-door sedan, 24-year-old Lauren Langston, of Rome, was not injured.
Police say the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
