ROME, N.Y. – Rome police have arrested a suspect after a stabbing on Ann Street Thursday afternoon.
Derrick T. Snell was taken into custody around 12:45 a.m. Friday, after police found him at his residence.

Snell is charged with second-degree assault.
Authorities were called to 418 Ann St. just before 1:30 p.m. Thursday for a reported custody dispute. Upon arrival, officers found 35-year-old Jeremy Jaegers lying on the ground suffering from multiple stab wounds to the torso.
Jaegers was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center to be treated for injuries police say are not life-threatening.
Police believe Snell and Jaegers knew each other prior to the incident.
