SAUQUOIT, NY – Root Farm Adventures celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon cutting and some high flying adventurous people zip lining down the side of a hill.
Located in Sauquoit, the farm offers a variety of activities.
From equestrian therapy to challenging rope courses, zip lining, and a 40-foot high rock climbing wall, there’s something for everybody to do.
Jeremy Earl, Executive Director of the Root Farm, says the keyword is “everybody”.
“Why should people with limitations not have the opportunity to experience things anybody else can experience? One of our high rope courses is the first fully handicapped accessible high ropes course in the country. Our zip line is handicapped accessible and our rock climbing tower has equipment that we can add to it that also makes it accessible.”
All staff members of The Root Farm go through a certification course and are trained in what to do in case of an emergency out on the course.
