ONEONTA, N.Y. – SUNY Oneonta has rescheduled its spring commencement ceremony to Aug. 29.
The ceremony will be held at the Alumni Field House at 9 a.m., 12 p.m. and 3 p.m.
“While there are many details to work out between now and then, I wanted our seniors and their families, in particular, to know as soon as possible about the new date we have selected to honor them,” said President Barbara Jean Morris. “Especially now, against a backdrop of adversity and change, it is vital to remember and celebrate all that we are achieving. I look forward to welcoming members of the Class of 2020 back to campus and congratulating each of them in person this summer.”
The ceremony will follow the same format.
More than 1,000 students are projected to graduate in May.
