MARCY -- Students at SUNY Polytechnic Institute are ready to start a new chapter of their lives.
Nearly 700 students graduated Saturday.
Family and friends came from all over to cheer the graduates on!
This will be interim president Bahgat Sammakia’s last graduating class working for SUNY Poly. He says he will miss SUNY Poly, and the students.
"Leaving all the friends behind, and the faculty and staff. And I love the students here. They're very positive. Focused. They all are here for a purpose, and they have their vision."
Sammakia says with enrollment on the rise, SUNY poly is planning new developments such as new dorms and a new economic building.
