ROME, N.Y. -- After a long day Tuesday plowing and prepping the roads – there was a crash at the Rome DPW yard.
A salt truck that was replenishing the city's supply tipped over.
John Clifford with the Rome Sentinel shot this footage Wednesday morning.
The truck with the bed extended was down on its side.
The windshield popped out, but the driver was not hurt.
The salt at the top of the extended box wouldn't move, and the uneven weight made the truck tip over.
The truck is from Cayuga Crushed Stone in Lansing.
