UTICA, N.Y. -- The Utica Public Library's open Monday on Christmas Eve, and there might be some left over holiday spirit from the weekend's festivities.
The Jolly Jingles with Santa was held this weekend.
Area kids were treated to cookies and some refreshments, all while listening to Christmas music put on by none other than Santa himself.
"We've been coming to these events and programs at the Utica Public Library since she was three years old. They offer a wide array of development all appropriate and engaging events and activities, and we just love coming,” said parent Lisa Scalzo.
"It’s a really great way to have some holiday spirit in the area. It’s a great way to showcase the holiday books that we have at the library. And it really does a lot for literacy that we have these books and kids can sing along with and know they can take them out of the library anytime they want,” said Amanda Stewart, the event coordinator.
The Utica Public Library is open Monday until 2 p.m.
