VANCOUVER, B.C. - Defenseman Ashton Sautner is returning to the Vancouver Canucks organization, signing a one-year, two-way contract with the team, Tuesday.
According to CapFriendly, the Manitoba native's deal is worth $700,000 at the NHL level and $200,000 at the AHL level.
Sautner spent the 2019-20 season split between the Canucks and Utica Comets, appearing in one game at the NHL level despite multiple call-ups.
For the Comets, the 26-year-old suited up in 51 games where he had 12 points (1g, 11a) and 41 penalty minutes.
The 6'1", 196-lb. blueliner first joined the organization in the 2015-16 season, and has 49 points (11g, 38a) in 240 AHL games with the Comets. He ranks first among defensemen all-time in franchise history for appearances, fifth overall.
He's played in 23 career NHL games with Vancouver where he has three assists and a +3 rating.
