NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. – Staffworks is again holding its Save A Life campaign to raise money for 29 animal welfare organizations that provide care to at-risk animals.
Donations are matched up to the first $10,000 raised, plus $1,000 for every additional $5,000. Those who raise $100,000 will get an addition $2,000 as well.
The campaign has raised more than $1.25 million for non-profit animal care organizations like Stevens-Swan Humane Society, Rome Humane Society, Susquehanna SPCA and the Herkimer County Humane Society.
“Organizations like this, like the Steven Swan Humane Society, we survive on those donations. We're a non-profit organization with no County, State funding. Nothing, so everything you see us do, and every event, and every fundraiser, or something like this that we do, all that money goes to a great cause and helps these animals out,” said John Treen, manager at the Stevens-Swan Humane Society.
The campaign runs through Dec. 31.
