Verona, N.Y. - Oneida County Sheriff's officials are looking for a hit and driver whom they say fled the scene of an accident Saturday afternoon in Verona.
Sheriff's officials say it happened at the intersection of Canal Street and Route 31 in Verona around 2:10 Saturday afternoon.
They say 59-year-old Linda Belton of Verona Beach was stopped at the light and was hit from behind causing minor damage to her vehicle, but the driver fled the scene.
Belton was treated and released at the scene for neck pain.
The suspect's vehicle is described as an older model, brown or tan colored Saab or Audi sedan with a roof rack and white license plates, and may now possibly have front end damage.
