UTICA, N.Y. – Another suspect has been arrested in a May murder at a Utica barbershop.
A grand jury has indicted three people on murder in the death of 26-year-old Lemeke Pittman, who was shot and killed on the corner of Seymour Avenue and James Street on May 7.
On Tuesday, July 6, a second suspect in the indictment, 19-year-old Hakim Muhammad, of Utica, was arrested after he was found in Georgia. The U.S. Marshall Service and local authorities in Norcross, Georgia, assisted with the arrest.
Nearly a month ago, on June 10, 21-year-old Jaleak Scarborough was also arrested and charged with second-degree murder in Pittman's death.
Police are still seeking the third party in the indictment, and say more arrests are expected.
