WASHINGTON -- As of Wednesday, state Senator Joe Griffo has a brand new title, as the acting minority leader.
Griffo's set to hold the position on an interim basis while John Flanagan seeks treatment for alcohol dependency.
On the Senate floor, Griffo said Senate Republicans will advance a taxpayer-friendly agenda that will help the state's middle class and individuals, families and businesses.
He also said high taxes are hurting the state population.
This legislative session will last for six months.
