UPDATE: Garage destroyed by fire in Lee Center

A garage in Lee Center was destroyed by a fire that broke out Monday morning.

UPDATE: A garage at 9780 Podunk Rd. in Lee Center was destroyed by a fire that broke out just after 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Officials say a relative of the homeowners was there at the time and called 911.

The fire was fully involved with fire crews arrived on scene, but they worked quickly to keep the fire contained. The garage was completely destroyed but there is no damage to the house.

There is no word yet on a cause of the fire.

LEE CENTER – Several fire departments and emergency crews are responding to a structure fire in the town of Lee.

The fire at 9780 Podunk Rd., Lee Center was first reported at 9:38 a.m., according to the Oneida County 911 Center. It was reported as being a fully involved garage fire.

Lee Center, West Leyden, Lake Delta and Taberg fire departments have been dispatched to the scene, along with Oneida County Emergency Services, New York State Police and AmCare Ambulance.
