Sheriff: Whitestown homicide victim died from gunshot wound

Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol says a man found dead in a car in Whitestown Wednesday died from a gunshot wound, according to a preliminary autopsy report.

WHITESTOWN, N.Y. – Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol says a man found dead in a car in Whitestown Wednesday died from a gunshot wound, according to a preliminary autopsy report.

Maciol says the final autopsy results will take several weeks, along with the toxicology report.

Deputies found 20-year-old Quaheim Holland dead in a vehicle behind a barn Wednesday on Westmoreland Road while responding to a 911 call regarding a car accident.

Authorities are treating this as a homicide investigation, according to Maciol.
