ROME, N.Y. – Authorities suspect alcohol was involved after a Rome woman crashed her vehicle on Rome-New London Road Wednesday around 9:15 p.m.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, Marqueta Armstrong was speeding when she drove off the road and hit a ditch, before her Jeep rolled over on its side.
No citations have been issued, but the incident is still under investigation.
Armstrong was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
New York State Police, Amcare Ambulance and Rome Fire Department also responded to the scene.
