TRENTON, N.Y. – A Barneveld man was arrested after allegedly hitting a deputy in the face with an object as officers were responding to a domestic dispute.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was called to a Trenton home on Tuesday around 8 a.m. Police say Zachary J. Labarbera, 25, was out of control and turned his aggression toward the responding deputies after they arrived to the scene.
The deputy that was hit in the face was treated for a minor facial injury, and returned to work.
Labarbera was taken into custody and charged with second-degree attempted assault, second-degree harassment and resisting arrest.
He is currently being held at Oneida County Jail awaiting arraignment at Centralized Arraignment Court.
