UTICA – The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office says it is investigating a crash between one of its own employees and a civilian driver.
A news release did not contain many details, but the sheriff’s office says the accident took place at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Elizabeth Street and John Street in Utica. Deputies say an unmarked sheriff’s office vehicle and a vehicle belonging to a civilian collided and damage did occur.
Deputies say an investigation is underway by the supervisor of the patrol division. The news release did not specify the job title of the employee.
