Town of Webb, N.Y. - A New Jersey man was killed late Friday night in a snowmobile accident in the Town of Webb.
Town of Webb Police say it happened on Trail 5 of the Town of Webb Snowmobile Trail System near the Steel Deck Bridge around 11:30 P.M..
Police say 23-year-old Jonathan Black of Somerset, New Jerey failed to negotiate a curve and was ejected, sending Black down a steep embankment.
Authorities say Black's injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening at first, but while he was being evaluated by first responders, he went into cardiac arrest.
Efforts to save him were unsuccessful. Black was pronounced dead at the scene by Herkimer County Coroner Danforth Rivet.
