COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. – The Cooperstown Department of Motor Vehicles office will reopen on Monday, June 22, to Otsego County residents, by appointment only.
Anyone entering the office is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Beginning Friday, June 19, people can go online and make an appointment at picktime.com.
Appointments can be made for the following:
- New car registration
- Transfer of plates
- Driver’s license renewal, if eye test required
- Commercial driver’s license
- Learner’s permits
Anyone who shows up late, will forfeit the appointment slot and need to reschedule.
Starting Aug. 17, people can begin making appointments for enhanced driver’s licenses and Real IDs.
There will also be two drop boxes available, one for plate returns and the other for license and registration renewals.
