UTICA, N.Y. – Utica police have received several reports of people stealing or attempting to steal items from cars overnight in South Utica.
Police say they are actively trying to identify suspects from footage caught on home security cameras.
UPD posted a photo of a suspect to its Facebook page Monday, asking for help identifying the person, who can be seen wearing a black hoodie and grey pants in the security footage.
Anyone with information that may help identify this suspect should contact Utica Police Criminal Investigations Division at 315-223-3510.
Police are reminding everyone to lock their car doors at night and keep windows closed. Valuable items like phones, GPS units, purses or other bags should also be removed from vehicles when they are unattended.
