UTICA, N.Y. --- The Event Co gave locals the opportunity to spice up their Valentine's Day with their second annual White Party.
Danielle's at Valley View hosted the cocktail party. It's considered one of the area's most unique cocktail parties.
The event raised money for the Utica center for development. An organization that helps local veterans Improve their quality of life.
Live music by soul injection filled the room.
People were asked to wear as much white as they could but since it was valentines day red and black were also welcome.
Organizers that put on the party wanted to thank everyone for coming out and supporting a great cause.
"I have a place in my heart for the veterans and I always choose the veterans. In the 70s there was a resurgence of the white party and I just wanted to bring it back. It is a fun thing its a fun concept. It's an honor for them to support this organization and its an honor for them to support this party. I appreciate it," said Event Co owner Gina Scampone.
The tickets were 55 dollars each. That included food and an open bar for one hour.
Many local businesses including A,Vitullo's and united healthcare supported the party.
