UTICA, N.Y. -- The Utica Zoo is getting in on that springtime fun – by offering activities for spring break.
The zoo is hosting a children's camp titled "Meadows and Grasslands" held for first through fourth graders.
Children got the chance to meet with the animals, explore the zoo participate in some arts and crafts and stem-based programs to learn about the animals and their habitats.
Organizers say there's still plenty of chances to enjoy the zoo over spring break.
"Thursday night is a really loved event, it's always cool to be here at night. Have some roasted marshmallows and have some great keeper talks,” said Andria Heath, the executive director.
In addition to Thursday night, the next spring break camp is the Barnyard Bash happening this Friday at 10 a.m.
Children can meet and learn about a wide variety of barnyard animals.
Registration is still open.
