YORKVILLE, N.Y. – It took a while, but a popular Yorkville staple finally opened its doors Sunday.
Much to the delight of a long line of faithful customers.
Voss’ Bar B-Q, located on Oriskany Boulevard, usually opens in April, but the coronavirus pushed that date back so they could make sure all safety guidelines were met.
One of those guidelines being that all customers, along with the staff must wear a mask.
No mask. No service.
Co-owner Kenton Voss says the customers he talked to said it was worth the wait.
“People have been looking forward to us opening. I’ve heard them talk about it being officially Spring when we open. Even though we did open a little bit later due to the lockdown. Maybe this is just a little bit of freedom. A taste of what we hope will be the future.”
No word yet on when their other locations in Ilion and Marcy will open.
