Staffworks has launched its annual Save A Life Campaign to raise money for 39 animal welfare organizations throughout New York and Pennsylvania.
The campaign will run through Dec. 31, and Staffworks will match the first $10,000 in donations, and then $1,000 for every additional $5,000 in donations. If donations surpass $100,000, Staffworks will add another $2,000 to the matching funds.
All of the money raised goes toward animal care, including housing abused animals, pet food pantries and spay and neuter programs.
Anita Vitullo, founder of the Save A Life Campaign, says several organizations are struggling through the pandemic without the ability to hold normal fundraisers.
“Animal organizations do not typically get state or federal funding, so they're really dependent for a huge amount of their budget on just community donations,” she said. “Not being able to raise that money with events and special fundraisers, has been very difficult, and all of the animal organizations are suffering because of it.”
Since 2014, the campaign has raised more than $3 million for non-profit animal organizations that care for at-risk animals.
