Voters in Otsego and Herkimer Counties are heading to the polls Tuesday for the 19th and 21st Congressional District Democratic Primaries. The state attorney general is providing a special voter hotline to assist voters at the polls.
In the 21st Congressional District, voters in Northern Herkimer County will decide who will face off against incumbent Republican Elise Stefanik. The four Democratic contenders are Tedra Cobb, Emily Martz, Patrick Nelson, and Katie Wilson.
In Otsego County, voters will decide amongst seven Democratic candidates in the 19th District primary. In the running for the seat are Jeff Beals, David Clegg, Erin Collier, Antonio Delgado, Brian Flynn, Gareth Rhodes, and Pat Ryan. The winner of this primary will face off against incumbent Congressman John Faso (R) who was first elected back in 2016.
The state attorney general has announced a new hotline to troubleshoot problems voters may have at the polls. Any time between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. on June 26th, voters can call (800) 771-7755 if they have any issues at the polls.
