CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (AP) - State police are investigating an altercation between a trooper and a man he was questioning in a western New York parking lot.
Major Eric Laughton says Sunday that the trooper was on road patrol but has been placed on desk duty during the internal investigation.
Cell phone video of the incident Saturday at a Tops Plaza in Farmington was sent to WHEC in Rochester. A trooper is seen yelling at a man and giving him a hard shove.
The names of the trooper and the man were not released. Police say the trooper had responded to a report of a domestic incident.
