TRENTON, N.Y. - State Police have released the name of the man killed in the motorcycle accident in Trenton on Saturday.
They say he is 70-year-old Everett Wilson from the town of Wells in Hamilton County. Wells is in the Adirondacks about 50 miles north of Amsterdam.
State Police say Wilson was on his motorcycle when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Wendi Cummings of Land O'Lakes, Florida.
State Police say Cummings was not injured but she was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.
The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Prospect Depot Road and State Route 365 in Trenton.
State Police say Cummings was traveling north on Prospect Depot Road, entering the intersection and attempting to turn west onto Rt. 365 when she failed to yield the right of way to Wilson who was traveling eastbound on Rt. 365.
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 63 year old passenger of Cummings was was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica, where she was treated and released.
State Police say the investigation is continuing.
