A section of State Route 5S was closed Friday due to a tractor trailer blocking the road.
UPDATE: State Route 5S has reopened in both directions, according to state DOT officials.

State Route 5S is currently closed from the South Washington Street bridge in Herkimer to the Route 167 intersection in Little Falls.
The Mohawk Fire Department says the closure is due to a tractor trailer blocking the road.
